I know … it’s awful having a tune stuck in your head. But what better tune than this. It’s vaguely rock, it has great (ironically comedic) vocals and the chorus is killer. What better way to remember the formula for volume?

In this gallery you can see the children applying their place value knowledge in order to add multiples of; ten, one hundred and beyond to 4/5 and 6 digit numbers. And write on the playground with chalk – great fun!!
In our Numeracy lessons this week we are learning about the properties of complex 3D shapes. Today Class Jacob worked in different groups to list properties of pyramids, prisms and to construct different polyhedra from nets. One group measured and designed the nets themselves according to their knowledge of faces, vertices and edges.
Mrs Moore came into our class today and taught us how to use Excel on a computer.
The children followed instructions to input data and produce their own program. What a great opportunity to understand how ICT works in the world. Class Joseph and Mr Robinson learnt a lot!! Thanks Mrs.Moore – we are looking forward to the next open day!
